Fellowship Church Beliefs

The mission of Fellowship Church is to lead ordinary people to an extraordinary life in Christ. We believe that the Bible provides the necessary standard that leads to life the way God intended. We fully embrace the truth found in the Bible and use it as our guide in business, family relationships, and community engagement. Our beliefs are as follows:

One God

We believe that there is one God who is infinite in power, Holy in nature, attributes, and purpose: omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent. We believe that He was revealed to us as the Father in creation, the Son in redemption, and the Holy Spirit in His comforting grace that never leaves those who trust in Him. (I Corinthians. 8:6; Eph. 4:6; II Corinthians. 3:17, 5:19)

Jesus Christ

We believe that “in Christ lives all the fullness of God in a human body; For God in all his fullness was pleased to live in Christ.” (Col. 2:9; Col. 1:19) We believe in the virgin birth and that Jesus was both human and divine. God manifest in the flesh. (Matt. 1:23; I Tim. 3:16)

Baptism

We believe in water baptism by immersion in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and the baptism of the Holy Ghost, speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance. (Mark 16:16, Acts 2:4, 38)

Second Coming

We believe in the Second Coming of our Lord, Jesus Christ. (Acts 1:10, 11; I Thessalonians 4:13-18; Revelation 1:7)

The Bible

We believe the Holy Bible to be the inspired Word of God. (II Timothy 3:16; II Peter 1:20, 21)

Healing

We believe in divine healing for the body. However, we encourage and do not condemn medical science. (Acts 3:2-12; Acts 5:15, 16; James 5:14-15)

Resurrection

We believe that Jesus Christ was physically resurrected from the dead in a glorified body three days after His death on the cross. One day all believers in Christ will also be physically resurrected in glorified bodies to their reward in heaven with God. (Luke 24:16, 36, 39; Philippians 1:21-23, 3:21; I Corinthians 15:42, 44; John 2:19-21, 20:26-28, 21:4; Acts 24:15)

Justification

We believe we are justified (declared righteous under the blood of Jesus) when we repent of our sins and believe in Jesus Christ. (Acts 13:38, 39; Romans 5:1; I Corinthians 6:11; Mark 1:5)

Holy Spirit

We believe in the operation of the nine Gifts of the Spirit and encourage our people to live so that these gifts may be manifest in their lives. (Acts 2:4; Acts 10:44-46; Acts 19:6; I Corinthians 12:4-11)

Praise and Worship

We believe that praise and worship are emphasized and are a must for any church that is intent on following the Holy Spirit. The Lord inhabits the praises of His people (Psalms 22:3) and we certainly want His presence in our church. In addition, He is Lord and is more than worthy to be the focus of our worship. In fact, one of the primary reasons for us to congregate is to bless Him and Who He is and what He’s done.
